Green Mountain Transit is seeking individuals with with clean driving records, who may be interested in helping us provide safe and reliable transportation to our fellow Vermonters!

Position Summary
GMT Custodians are expected to maintain the GMT fleet by:

• Cleaning the inside and outsides of vehicles
• Maintenance of the Bus Shelters
• Performing light maintenance tasks and refueling of the buses

This position summary is not intended to be a complete statement of the position; it is intended merely to be a guide to the general work to be performed.


We are looking for: 

• We are seeking applicants who have clean driving record, a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• Ability to get Commercial Driver's License (within 90 days of employment).
• Ability to use maintenance equipment (lawn mower, snow blower etc) 
• Minimum age requirement is 21 years old

Work Conditions
 A typical work day would include:  

• Standing, bending, stooping, climbing and crawling under or on top of equipment
• Occasionally lifting of up to 45 lbs
• Driving large buses
